The Club was founded in 1972, and with the help of a grant from the English Sports Council, and the hard work of members, the clubhouse was rebuilt in 2002. It is now considered to be the finest clubhouse in the Bexhill area.

With the bar and kitchen facilities plus an excellent green, the Club plays host to several Touring and County sides.

Sidley Martlets is a mixed club, with Men's, Ladies and Mixed team fixtures.

Throughout the year many social events are held.
